Lots of places to spend money on a dairy, especially the last 5 years when most dairymen have just tried to fill in the hole from 2009.

Equipment is a tough sell sometimes. If I had the choice of a sickle or disc mower, its a disc mower hands down. Pull type and add a tractor.

What were your dad's thoughts? He may have other ideas that maybe higher ROI.

If it makes you feed better, my Hesston 9260 SP had a pump spline go bad last night on the way home. I am going to guess a $4000 repair. Only has 1460 engine hours. Header works fine but the pump for hydro is gone. Love repairs!!
