Freedom, WI | I am in a unique situation, but yes-there are enough people to be in the barn and field at the same time. When dad is around, me and him can put up about 30 acres in a good day. But lately, he has been getting 60 hours in 4 or just over 4 days driving semi. When he isn't around, it is me, grandma, and mom handling the chopping. Grandma, doesn't like long days (she is 70 and gets up and milks every morning), I don't want to leave mom by herself by the blower to unload, and then she doesn't know how to run the chopper. So that is why we are only doing 15 acres a day. | |
