Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA,
I can understand getting rid of the unreliable stuff, got a mower I call Patsy Cline, ought to give you an idea of how it is, I am just limping it till it dies, next one on the list to replace, thinned out the herd here on unreliable stuff, most was good to start with though. I'd be inclined to get a hydroswing haybine if you want to upgrade mowers, nonclog guards and bolt on knives and they will go through tangled hay without much trouble, late models are fairly cheap for the capacity from what I have seen. Should be able to pull one easily with 90 horsepower to boot. I know the SP are nice, but you pay a lot of money for convenience, I would put the money towards a tractor first, nice to have extra tractors. I have 4 and that isn't enough some days, and I am not even tying one up on a mixer wagon or grinding feed every day. I'll leave tractors up to you, lots of good ones out there, real glut of late model tractors around here and starting to get reasonable.
