Subject: RE: When to justify discbine?

Saronville NE
Neighbor just traded a WDX1701 SP disc mower with only 1000 hrs on it for a new R450 JD, think the dealer is asking $39k for his WDX 1701, a new PT will cost you about that now, Id buy that used WDX before buying a PT.

If you are used to running a SP, you will NOT be happy going back to a PT, I know cause we tried it 2 yrs ago, ran it 1 yr and went back to SP. The road time sucks on SP, but field time and drying time of not running things over on the ends as much, sure helps.

IF new to new and bound to get new, then ya PT, $120k vs $35k on 80 acres doesn't make any sense.

We put 350 hrs on our SP last year, and when had PT put 400 hrs on the 8300 we pulled it with.
