Heck, 10' cut on 84 acres is more than enough. 10*7*.12*.72=6 acres an hour cut, and you aren't pushing hard at all, if the fields are smooth enough and you got the power, 10 acres an hour is achievable. Even at 6 acres/hour that is only 14 hours worth of work. I'd be more concerned about getting it back off the ground. As far as adding a tractor, never known a dairy that couldn't use an extra tractor, quite nice to have an extra odd job tractor, only looking for something around 100 hp to mow with, at least here. No need to go and spend a bunch of money, not going to be a great ROI on a mower. |
