| We have geo heat in both my house and my Dads. Got 150' deep wells. Specs called for one well for each ton of capacity, but we added an extra well to Dads and mine both. I think that helps if you are wanting to make sure the heat strips don't come on.
Dad keeps his on 78 degrees in the winter and so far in KC his strips have not come on.
We have been told that you need to get through one year to get the full benefit of it, that after the first summer of heat and using the ac there will be more heat stored in the ground and the system will work better and longer before it might start using the heat strips. | |
