I agree with your explanation 100%. Now if we could only sell beans in units instead of bu.

It's amazing the lengths sales and marketing people go to justify shorting customers on product. Remember way back when beans were sold in bu bags not wimpy 50 lb "units".

Same thing with TP. A few years back they came out with "double" rolls. Folks complained and they sold them TP dispenser "extenders" so they could fit the larger rolls. Well the dispenser here has been the same standard one fit into the wall since 61 or so and interesting enough it had no problem accepting the double rolls as they are really the same size as the old style standard rolls.

Now the latest shortage seems to be in the length of the rolls some are a little bit shorter now.

It's always about price increases for a smaller amount of product when buying but never if you happen to be selling.

Won't even get into the 60# standard for selling beans.

It's part of the creeping inflation we are told does not exist. Same or more money(actually it's always more money because it's worth less) for less product.
