Wisconsin
Apples to apples comparison, a honeycrisp grown on a productive and precocious rootstock, fertilized and irrigated, is not going to have the 'vitamins and minerals' of an apple grown 100 years ago. 40 years ago was 1983 and all I remember was red delicious, so I don't know that there's any difference between the modern honeycrisp, gala or braeburn and the red delicious of the 80's? Just try to grow, sell and survive growing "real apples" from a hundred years ago.

Ford doesn't make teslas or benzes, ford makes fords until people stop buying fords. If people stop buying corn and corn fed meat, then Garvo's going to have to start growing brocolli. That's not going to happen. Most people will go on buying cheap food, and fords.
