Just exactly what does that mean? Corn, wheat, rice, etc have been grown for thousands of years. Unless you want everyone to become vegetable farmers, I don't see your point.
And what about cotton farmers? Christmas tree farms?
Farmers grow whatever there is a demand for.
Actually my #1 priority is making a profit. Feeding the world is a ways down the list.
