Thanks, I learned something. Really makes very little difference in my case though because my utility pays 9 and charges 10 which seems fair for not needing to have batteries.
They're being more than fair to you.
I really don't care what your utility does but being a member of the local REC they shouldn't be paying anyone more than wholesale cost for solar or wind power that they buy from members. Paying more than wholesale would be a disservice to the other member owners.
