Ed gets all kinds of crap for promoting new technologies. Try reading multiple posts all the time on here about how the world should stop now and why shouldn't we look for new ways to do things and improve what we are doing. If these same posters lived 130 years ago they'd be using the horse analogy.
Maybe folks are tired of claims with no numbers. Farmers (self included) are a frugal bunch. If the $$ make sense, then EVs we'll get adopted soon enough.
