fwiw... and i took it with a grain of salt,,, I saw a clip of a documentary about the footprint of EV vs ICE. The industry guy said that drivers have to own and drive their EVs for something like 60k Miles before the environmental footprint flip in favor of EV's. From then on the EV have a smaller footprint compared to ICE, but the footprint doesn't disappear. For many thats going to be half the ownership period of their vehicle.
Environmental footprint (which I'm guessing is defined by whatever fits an author's agenda) is one thing. Financial 'footprint' is another. OP seemed to be sharing how inexpensive his EV is to operate, but when pressed, really didn't know or care. |
