Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning. | Just looked at my engineering sheets. Looks like $4/Watt, not KW. That is for a turn key system where all I need to do is write checks and video the install if it pleases me to do so. Since I'm not a "resident" here, there are no state credits available to me but the federal credit will bring the cost to $2.80 / Watt. I will likely sell this home when it becomes too much hassle to make the trek every year or our health no longer permits. In the meantime, we will insulate ourselves against rate increases, help the grid, judging by recent history, recoup much of the upfront cost in increased resale value of this place, and pay pretty much nothing out of pocket, to power the house and car for as long as I'm still using it. |
