As I suspected, most everyone concedes that running after sunset requires changing the angle of the cutter bar. So, why return it to a flatter position in the daylight? I assume you cut better & lower (& faster) w/the flatter angle allowed in daylight? If so, then combining after dark requires that you give up some or all of the supposed 1-3 bu/A (per reports in this thread) bean saving?

I fully understand that there are many comprimises in farming, and deciding to give up bu/A to run later now becomes one of them. However, we have to decide it's worth the $45/A for the "after hours privilege". Again, I'm assuming everyone is returning their cutterbar to the normal pitch in daylight hours since everyone has indicated they change their pitch after dark.
