West Kentucky | Active pneumatic vs active hydraulic downforce is a touchy subject on this farm. The tried to get me to switch our old planter from active pneumatic to hydraulic. We have both and have measured results on both. They both are great, but I could never justify taking pneumatic off a planter that is currently set up with it because there is just not enough difference to make up the cost of switching. I do think both systems have significantly increased our yield levels the last several years. | |
