SCIA
Can I say this is or is not cherry picked? In our field trials, simulated spring pressure, IE... manual hydraulic set equivalent to different spring settings , with boxes, full vs empty, depending on settings, 5 to 20 BPA, over active, automatic DF. This is here, in our high clay soils, and strip till. The highest differences were when pushing the window, with the soils being border line to wet. The culprit was side wall compaction. We do run spade tpye closing wheels, but still saw side wall issues. It was easy to see the to heavy, from the box being full and the DF staying the same, with out active DF. You could do the same manually, with hydraulic DF and watching the gauge wheel load, but, with manual spring pressure, you are not going to get out two or thee times per fill and reset the springs. If you are center fill and have mini hoppers, I can not really address that.
