Pilot Grove, Missouri | The reasoning behind cutting inputs on poor yeilding spots, for me is. They are usually either wet spots or the soil is thin. If you actually soil test them separately, they can be very high in fertility due to getting the same fert rates as the rest of the field, but not producing the yeild. Drainage if wet or manure/covers if thin soil, would help more than just pouring unneeded fert at them. Patrick | |
