Delaware | Heating your home, the goal is to produce heat. Nothing is better at that than burning a fuel.
Driving a car, the goal is to produce mechanical effort to propel a vehicle down the road. Fuel burned does that through expansion of hot gases but a lot of that energy is lost in engine heat. If you could figure out how to make an internal combustion engine that harnessed 100% of the combustion energy for mechanical movement you would be more efficient. But as long as we need radiators in our cars electricity will be the more efficient option. | |
