A government with ill intent could cripple the entire population within hours by simply shutting down the electric grid. Other than the vehicles own batteries, the “fuel” is not stored anywhere. The system relies on continuous generation. If there is a disruption of that generation the society becomes immobile before they would even have a chance to fight back. Wars happen. Governments have been known to turn on their people. It’s not a matter of if these sorts of things will happen, it’s a matter of when. | |
