| I have no doubt that that happened, especially early on. For various reasons there are going to be hospitals that were caught off guard. In my opinion what happened though was whenever a situation like that happened it was sensationalized as if it were normal and widespread when in fact every event was very localized.
A fully equipped ICU room isn’t cheap but we need to compare those costs relative to what it cost to not have enough facilities. In a medical crisis building up facilities and staff still seems to be the logical thing to do. | |
