If you know anything about nursing, you cannot talk about any patient without their express permission.

Once had a neighbor who was in an accident. Asked the same nurse how neighbor was doing. She said 'no idea'. Ran into neighbor next day, accident wasn't nearly as bad as the coffee shop rumor mill had made it out to be, and he was deemed fine after a routine checkup with that very same nurse as the attending ER nurse. I asked her why she wouldn't tell me anything about a lifelong friend, and she flat out said she can say nothing about what goes on in the ER unless given specific permission.
So, basically, IMO, I think she has seen things that make her vaxx hesitant to say the least, but is not allowed to talk about it. It is just my guess, because, she refuses to speak of it.

HIPPA doesn't prevent them from talking in generalized terms, just specific patients.
