There wouldn't be much cow beef in the meat case (other than in the ground beef).
The pricing issue is a packing capacity issue, for both cows and fed cattle. In 2000 the fed market was in the $65-$70 range. We are working in the $120-130 range now and if we didn't have such a huge supply (leading to Saturday kills) we would easily be in the $140 range.
