I guess we were just ahead of our time when a car would idle down at the stop sign and then quit. But instead of thinking "Hey, I'm saving the environment", I always thought "what if the piece of junk won't start when there's a line of cars behind me?" My trusty 63 Chevy did that one day on a freeway off ramp. Before I could get out to tell the guy behind me to go around, a car load of high school hockey players got out and helped me push my car off to the side of the road.
Can you make these new vehicles not shut of when sitting at a stop light?
