Cold hamburger patties and boiled eggs are tastier than they sound. Even cold smoked ribs or chicken. Ham. Dill pickles and cheese sticks can give some variety. Wife sends a shaker of mixed salt and pepper for the eggs. Cheese slice rolled up in a ham slice is good. Sardines or Kipper Snacks herring I like but not everyone appreciates them. Salad will not do much to curb your hunger. Don't provide much energy either. If you can do it, it is fine. But you may find yourself hangry a lot. John
