You've got to find a meal selection that works for you. JIF doesn't have THAT much added sugar compared to the sweet tea you were drinking.
If you try to change too drastically and start sneaking fried greasy and sugary foods, then you're just back where you started from.
If JIF is what it takes to get rid of sweet tea and Casey's, it's well worth it.
Your system probably isn't in that bad a shape yet. You were just stressing it to the max with all that sugar and fried grease. You don't need to eliminate them, just cut way back to a level your system can handle.
You know you, and you'll need to find a happy medium where you and your body both enjoy your food.
Just my two cents worth, meant with the best of intentions. I'm in pretty much same boat as you, and we've both got young kids that we need to stick around for.
