Central MN
Your wife is wrong. I work in a large store. We can't get some of these high volume items like TP right now. The last 2 weeks we have done just about double our sales from what we would typically do this time of year. We are not alone l, as most stores around here have similiar increases. So that means the warehouses are going through twice as much stuff. They have to order things weeks in advance from suppliers. So they are going along making product at their normal rate and all of a sudden you get this huge surge in demand that nobody saw coming which leads to outs. Believe me if we could get the products, it'd be on the shelf
This would be similar to you set up for feeding 100 head and you wake up next morning you go to your barn and you have 200 head but you still only have feed/ bedding/ etc for 100.
