My sister said she normally buys 50 lb bags of rice for $40. They’ve limited rice to 5 lbs per family, but she’s feeding 9 people, and likes to have leftovers to send for her husband’s lunch. 5 lbs isn’t much more than 1 pot of rice for them. There ought to be a way of accounting for family size when they ration stuff like that, although I can see how that would be a nightmare to administer.

5 pounds of rice is like one pot? really???? 1 portion according to the nutritional guideline on the bag of white rice in our kitchen cupboard says 1/4 CUP dry rice is a serving...…just sayin'
