5 pounds of rice is like one pot? really???? 1 portion according to the nutritional guideline on the bag of white rice in our kitchen cupboard says 1/4 CUP dry rice is a serving...…just sayin'
She’s feeding at least 9 people, and wanting leftover lunches for at least 3. Both our family and her husband’s were known growing up for putting away exceptionally large amounts of food, so between my siblings who are living with them and their three boys I would expect she wants to make at least 25 “servings” at a time. I don’t know if she would cook 5 pounds of rice in one pot, I just know that she thought it was a ridiculously small amount of rice. |
