Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251

We bought a truck and flatbed in Illinois at auction and the headlights and wipers didn't work. It started to rain and we parked at the New Berlin little truck stop for the night. It was loaded with farm equipment. We told the manager lady inside what we were doing and she said it was fine.

The next day, the skies cleared so we went back to get it and when we pulled in, there was a black SUV blocking it from leaving, and another one whipped in and blocked the one-ton pickup we drove up in.  They looked our paperwork over and checked our fuel which was clear.  They were actually very nice and one guy admitted that it was a nice day and they all just wanted out of the office - can't blame them!  I wondered later how long they sat there before we showed up.

When we pulled out, they started checking every truck in the lot for red fuel.  On the road from there to Missouri we got passed several times by trucks that honked and waved with their middle finger.....
