Subject: RE: Superintendent salaries

The guy oversees ALL of the Sioux City schools, with around 15,000 students altogether. He has a PhD and many years of experience and is making starting wage straight out of school for an MD. You guys are completely out of touch with how much people with his qualifications could make elsewhere. How many times do we see people on here saying they need $60-100k per year just to cover family living expense, but apparently they think $60k pre-tax is more than enough for what is essentially the CEO of a very large organization. The only ridiculous thing here is the attitudes of some of the farmers responding. Guess what, in the real world working a couple hours in the morning doesn't count as a full day, so you doing livestock chores before heading out fishing doesn't either. Lots of farmers work hard, but so do plenty of other people.
