Not knowing how big that board I'll just assume 7 people for examples sake. Superintendents generally work under a 2 year contract, so the only thing that you need to have happen is 4 people agree to not renew the contract. He could be the best administrator in the world and those 4 not like that person and boom non-renewal.
I don't begrudge those folks who run districts one bit. I however disagree with growths in staff who really aren't doing anything and there overall benefits package that has gotten out of line.
