Yes, but the thing that bothers me is why doesn't my wife want her and I to have a chance to better our family. I have nothing against anyone in her family I love them all! This situation has just rubbed me the wrong way and makes me question her..
Okay, gotta tread carefully here 'cause I don't want to stir the pot. You know, I'm getting older, but back in the day those vows used to be "for this reason a woman leaves her home (mother and father). I can understand your disappointment. Maybe if you explained it to her from that standpoint, that you had spoken to the owner before you met her and you want to make things better for your family.
If you say nothing to the owner and your FIL and his sons get it, this is just going to fester.
