Mohawk Indiana | Sometimes we forget that the landlord makes the final decision not all of the suitors.
If you don't talk to him there's no guarantee that her Dad will get it.
If you and FIL are constantly yielding to each other neither one of you will rent anything.
We have family that are good farmers, good folk and our gentle men's agreement is do what you've got to do. If we consult each other on everything we could both suffer. Everyone in the neighborhood thinks we know all of each other's business, we don't .
My guess is she loves you but has an allegiance to her family. I don't think it is that big of a crime.
Women have a different view of things sometimes. My wife is my biggest supporter but sometimes she will talk about hoping someone we know will get an opportunity, and it doesn't occur to her that that deal might benefit us.
Call the landlord sooner rather than later!
