Day Co. SD | A guy in our county got caught about 15 yrs ago with his pickup. Going by memory from what was in the court records, but I think the fine wasn't real bad. $2-300 or so. Years later I asked the offender about the ordeal. He claimed that part of his guilty plea involved a suspension of the rest of the $10,000 dollar fine. If he was ever caught again, for the rest of his life ,he would have to pay up.
I was the passenger in a flatbed one ton pickup that was checked in 1995. It was a traffic stop for speeding but the trooper claimed he could check because it had commercial plates. He handed over a little one page leaflet from the IRS to the driver. Fuel was clear and a warning ticket for speeding.
Does anyone remember what year the clear fuel hit the market? I am thinking about 1994. | |
