It looks to me like if cutting the excess bushels is what he wants, taking 200 bushel ground out will get us there quicker than taking 80 to 100 bushel ground out. I would bet the cost per bushel to raise is almost the same both places. I'm pretty sure the basis in western Kansas is a lot better than most places in the corn belt also. if your basis is strong then the market is telling you they need it. What's a $1 under tell ya? |
