I'm well aware that others also achieved lower rents ( funny how when I was getting ripped no one bothered to post that fact ) IMO posting the fact that rents were not "locked " in at the higher levels of the last few years may help others in dealing with their landlords.
but of course the reaction on this board when mentioned was only if you screwed over your landlord could it be done and if you even tried to do it you would most certainly lose the ground btw thanks for letting others know that rents could have been negotiated, maybe it will help others in dealing with next year.
