I'm talking about rent. The only reason I consider myself halfway efficient is that I don't have extreme rents to pay. Rent is the biggest Cost of Production, that's a fact, and it isn't b.s.. All these guys bid up the land rent to the point where they can't afford not to have a great crop with great prices and now that one of those variables isn't there, they're hoping for everyone else to grow less corn so they can stay efficient. average rent here is $225 The high rent is what makes headlines but it doesn't mean every acre is getting it. |
