| Just out of curiosity Johnny, are you on a co-op board? I'm not asking to bash, just reading this thread you really know your stuff. I spent my first decade out of college at the co-op and have worked as a farmer with a couple of others. It blows me away the difference in how some are run, and seeing the value in the employees and the boards and how they differ. My favorite conversation was with a guy on a co-op board who I asked what they were trying to do to deal with the changes in the business over the last 20 years and how they were getting scaled out by larger operators who could do as much in a day as them. He asked me why they would bother changing a model that has worked for the last 60 years. I told him horsemen said the same thing in the 1890s. He just stared at me.
