The issue with a statement such as that lone wolf is that it may, or may not be true. Not saying that your guy is lying, and that may have been what he/they were told, especially if they were tied-in with a distributors such as Winfield or growmark.

The fact of the matter is that as these entities gain purchasing power, opportunities develop that wouldn’t be available to them before from multiple sources.

but in order to capitalize upon this there has to be somebody in the organization that can realize and pursue these opportunities and pass the savings down to their patrons.  Too often when I hear “we are at the max level” “or level such and such”,it’s a sign that somebody isn’t really doing their job.
