| Our electric Coop also consolidated with a neighboring COOP. Huge cost savings in our situation. Granted, the CEO got a raise, but not near 2X. It eliminated duplication in all the other departments, though. One accounting mgr, one engineering mgr, one customer service mgr, etc. And one computer system and phone system to upgrade and manage. I don't know that ag coops can get things to work that well, but in electric coops which are very similar in business model and not really in competition due to defined territory it works.
