I’m in one coop that grew rapidly.
I’m in one coop that really didn’t grow at all, then made one small merger and struggled with the logistics of that terribly.
And one that wanted to merge up in a big way and the members said no. So they merged a little.
It seemed the one that was growing and merging continuously had wonderful yearly statements because the numbers were always bigger than the previous year, more sales, more volume, more more more. But you could never really compare or understand if we were better or worse, because it was really a different business every year. Seemed able to hide a whole lot of debt that way.
