15 months ago I was taking 100 units of insulin a day in 4 separate shots. Reduced carbs week 1 and dropped it in half to 40-50 units. Went full blown low carb <20 grams carbs week 2 and dropped insulin to zero. Dropped Actos soon thereafter. Dropped Metformin later. Blood sugar control better than it has been since diagnosed diabetic twenty or twenty-five years ago. Pretty much flat now. No insulin shots for over a year now. Taking exogenous insulin is horrible for the body (except for a type I who has to have some insulin because they make none - but even type I can benefit from low carb eating). Thanks for your input. Seems like you have a good understanding of the process. The ying and yang of insulin vs glucagon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3fO5aTD6JU John
