Nevada, Iowa | 1974, 1993 and 2018 were July kind of years. In recent history, 2013 and 15 were difficult here. 18 was the worst for me in recent history. People 20 min. East of me last year were slightly dry to ideal through mid June last year. We just got hammered here after the first week of June.
I have had several dry June periods since 2012 also. Actually, 2013 was a twisted example. Around mid June I mudded through sidedress only to have the rain shut of completely for several weeks. I coulter injected and with no rain, I really don't think it did me much good at all.
