South Central Iowa | It's too taboo for anyone to research, but I wonder if increased CO2 levels and warmer temperatures are a positive for yields. Plants are built of carbon, warmth is conducive to vegetative growth, and a warmer world is likely a wetter world; at least it was in past ages.
Assuming that the increase does exist and persists, that is the route I think should be considered. The better management hypothesis cannot last very long.
There has been some research in that area I know, but the mantra is crop failure and global famine. Benefits to crops would challenge that article of faith. | |
