Farmdoc had the percent share of nebraska and the southeast of harvested acreage in 2016 at over 20% of the total, so would be greater than 14 million. Don't have the figures for this 2018 year, don't have the breakdown of state acreage to go by in front of me and until the government reopens we won't the "final" numbers for a breakdown of bean yields as well as acreage.
IMO, the USDA, could do a better job of transparency throughout the yield gathering and final yield estimates. As you well know, there is a lot a gray areas.
