Subject: RE: Winning post by a landslide!

North Dakota
You get in very, very serious trouble for ANY surface modification to allow drainage of water. We have been on average horribly wet for the last 19 years. 20+ wet areas on one quarter of land. 120 acres seeded on a quarter, sometimes as low as 80 acres on a quarter. Crop insurance quit paying years ago on prevent plant. Yet, we are prevented from doing any type drainage to help alleviate the situation. For 15 years we have tried working with us fish and wildlife and FSA. After we met with them in the beginning they used our information and sent out letters to all absentee landowners along the route and purchased easements to stop it. Now for the last 12 years we have been trying to get around those easements but they won’t budge. All farmers along route would have to drop crop insurance and government payments in order to try to circumvent us fish and wildlife easements. So, you think I could get 15 farming operations to do that? Some have grandfathered preexisting drainage that had been installed before the gestapo came to rule. Not so easy dealing with communists/fascists I can tell you that!!!
