Pardon my ignorance, different areas have different market conditions but in my area good productive farmland rent would bring well above CRP rates. Not so in your area?
Marginal land in my area is usually a wash, rate wise, although every once and a while someone gets nutty and over pays rent (my opinion) on marginal ground.
Not much to compare former pasture with CRP but that one I can see CRP winning.
Really around “here” in the 11, 12, 13 run up a lot came out of CRP and I would say not much new enrollment. |
