True but in our area, crappy ground that would make good pasture is stuck in crp getting three times what pasture ground is worth.
And some of it here is in Timber Reserve, meaning it has horribly crappy trees planted in it but is exempted from paying properly tax. Great for the docs and lawyers from out of town who get their hunting ground payments made by the taxpayers and then don’t pay any taxes to fund the school systems where they’re not living or sending their kids to anyway. |
