Ohio | I have bought and sold a lot of things off of Craigslist. You would think that would be a unwritten rule that if you agree to come look they should hold it for you, but that is not the case at all. First one with the cash/check gets it. I’ve been burnt on stuff like that several times. I had a snowmobile bought over the phone and was gonna go pick it up the next day after work. Well I went to leave work, hooked up to the trailer, and texted the guy that I was on my way and he said “sorry, just left on someone else’s trailer”. I was so mad just because we agreed on a price and I have him my word i would be there. Guess that don’t mean much. Usually won farm stuff it’s a little different. Farmers usually don’t do things like that but I guess not all of them. Oh well. There will be others for sale. | |
