Poppycock on gmo grains causing gut issues in people. The perfect study for the safety of gmo grains has been going on 99+ percent of the livestock farms in the U.S. when Bt corn was released close to 20 years ago.
Productive healthy livestock and good gut health go hand in hand. If the Bt present in grains was causing gut issues it certainly would have shown up by now and livestock farmers would be all over this demanding gmo free grain. Livestock health in the U.S.is the best it's ever been right now. If gmo grains were causing health issues that certainly would not be the case.
Funny thing is all of the anti gmo food nonsense nothing is ever said about mutagenic foods. I guess bombarding the nucleus of plant cells and seeds with radiation and toxic chemicals is just hunky dory. No studies on the safety of the mutagenic foods that have been released the last 70 years. No studies on organic foods that have a mutagenic history.
Today there are more than 3,200 approved mutagenized plants and crops, including grapefruits, rice and durum wheat used in making premium pasta — all of which can be and are sold as organic. Organic ruby red grapefruit would not exist today if it wasn't for scientists firing radiation into the nucleus of a grapefruit cell to produce grapefruit mutants of deeper red color. New varieties of ruby red grapefruit were released as recently as 1985. Where are all of the studies showing the safety of this product. And boy or boy you know how precise the mutagenic process is. It's not. Just fire away and let's see what we end up with.
Why are gmo grains and their safety held to such a high standard and mutagenized foods and products are not. It's because the cat was out of the bag with mutangentics and it can not be put back in. Over the last 70 years all grains and fruits had been altered by mutagenesis using radiation or chemicals so there was no going back. Even today the E.U. Japan, China, and many other countries release new mutagenized foods everyday without so much as a notice. But boy oh boy if there is a new gmo event released it's scrutinized and studied to no end and then even that's not good enough.
